We labored hard and long on Labor Day. Some friends inspired us by offering their assistance with our yard work. They stopped by and we put the kids to work sifting gravel out and digging up rocks. The kids lasted about 10 minutes, but the adults were on a roll. After we cleared the court yard area of some rocks, nails, and misc. leftover construction garbage, our neighbor stopped by and offered his rototiller. So we kept on working. By the end of the day we had the whole court yard area cleared, leveled and rototilled. These photos don't do the noise, dust or our muscles justice. I'm still a bit achy. But now I'm ready for the next step.
Did you notice who didn't seem to mind the noise? Andrew fell asleep watching us in late afternoon.
