Moving day
We are on night number two in our temporary townhouse. Things fell into place for us to rent this townhouse for the next 6 or so months while we remodel. Mike and a bunch of guys from church got the furniture moved over on Saturday (while I attended an Interior Design class). I've been taking van loads over for almost a week now and I'm still not quite done. I still need to get things like soap, the kids toothbrushes, the bathmat... I haven't finished the laundry stuff, linen closet, kitchen stuff... You know. Lots more work left to do, not to mention unpack. I just keep telling myself it will be better than living through the remodel. The townhouse is bigger than our house, 3 big bedrooms with an extra little den or something off of the living room. The kids are excited about their new rooms. Unfortunately we had a few hitches in the move, a few pieces of furniture didn't make it without damage and our queen box spring and our dresser didn't fit up the stairs! So we are on a mattress on the floor and Mike is trying the dumping method of storing all your clothes together in the ceder chest. But all in all, it went pretty well. Now to unpack.
