Third dose down! It was rough. The 'expert' nurses took 4 pokes to get a working IV. My arm is very
bruised and tender. The IV that worked was in my elbow pit, so I couldn't bend my arm or move it much for the 4 hour infusion. But it didn't hurt once things were rolling. My arm is kind of a mess. I also have chemical burns on the back of my hand from reactions to the first two infusions. The chemo effects have seem to hit much sooner this round. Almost right away I've felt off, flushed, weak, upset stomach, etc. The drugs are doing their thing.
My fever from a week or two ago was short lived. It came in the afternoon/evenings for about three days, but would be gone in the mornings. And then I felt better and was able to get somethings done, like make Easter skirts for the girls. It was so nice to be able to do things for a few days.

You have such an amazing attitude! The side effects of the meds sound terrible. Hang in there, Rachel! We are praying for you!
