Sadie was excited to bring home a new pet from her 3rd grade classroom. Following in Emma's footsteps, she adopted a crayfish.
Unfortunately, we didn't have good luck with pets this spring. The crayfish came home on Friday and was no longer living on Sunday. We intended to give him a honorable funeral, but I'm embarrassed to admit, he sat on our front step decomposing in his little tank for over a week until we got around to his burial. He was with us much longer dead than alive. (He was very much alive when the photo was taken.)
