We started our summer diligently holding Jacobsen summer school every morning. The kids rotated between math (games on the iPad), reading, writing and music activities. We even had P.E. together - which consisted of things like swimming or going to running club at the track. A favorite part of Jacobsen summer school are the fieldtrips (or fieldtrip, we'll see if we actually take anymore). We went to the Cantor Art Museum at Stanford University. The kids were excited to see a Picasso in person after studying a little bit about him. We also liked the Andy Goldsworthy "Stone River" outside. Below they are posing outside next to Rodin's "Gates of Hell" sculpture.
