The title of Granite from this blog may soon have another meaning with our remodel in progress. But for today, it represents the massive rock surrounding Yosemite Valley. As we rounded a corner on CA-120 my breath was taken away and adrenaline rushed through my body. I'm not sure if it was the view of the valley and mountains or the drop of the cliff inches from the roadside. I had underestimated the beauty of Yosemite. I thought I've been camping a lot, how different can it be. The granite walls surrounding the valley were massive and impressive with size, texture and color. It is a unique place.

El
Capitan - 3,000 feet of sheer cliff, one of the largest exposed monoliths in the world.
