Walkabout

I had a fabulous weekend with the Jacobsen women filled with good food and great company. We had a quick and close little retreat, an overnight in Saratoga. Mike's sister was able to fly in from Montana. We did a bit of hiking on the Villa Montalvo trails in the foothills. The Lookout Trail led us up through Bay Laurel trees and Redwoods to the top of a foothill with an expansive view of the lower bay area. We tried a nice "come-as-you-are" local restaurant for dinner in downtown historic Saratoga. After returning to the Inn, we settled in for a book discussion on the Wonder of Girls/Boys. Morning brought more time to talk and relax, along with a treat of assembly line pedicures. Can you see any family resemblance in the first photo? After a late checkout, we enjoyed lunch at a restaurant around the corner with a comfortable outdoor table and great food. We concluded our walkabout with a tour of Hakone Gardens, a small Japanese garden outside of Saratoga. It was a peaceful and fun trip. I can't wait for the next one!

Hey, I wanna go! Sounds delightful.
I tried to spot my daughter's toes. The Jacobsens have long second toes, you and Julia have, how can I say this, ordered toe lengths...like mine! Mom

I guessed that your feet were the ones on the lower right. I clicked on the photo of you beautiful ladies and I saw that I guessed correctly. Sounds like I great time!

Your hair is super cute. You look rejuvenated after your walkabout.
