Itches

Speaking of itches (see the riding lessons entry), besides the livestock itch, I've got a travel itch and a genealogy itch. You know that burning within to delve into something. And everything around you reminds you of it. I have friends who have recently or are traveling to interesting places - Ireland, China, England, Italy, even here in California. Just got back, going tomorrow, etc... I'm craving that experience of breathing in new air and feeling it on my skin. Seeing new terrain and learning new history. Anyway, since I don't have nursing skills like one friend who went on a medical trip and my husband isn't traveling anywhere interesting soon, like another friend, I'm thinking my best bet is to combine my genealogy and travel bugs again to make a trip more meaningful. Since I won't be able to go soon, researching may fill that gap. So, all you Thompson women, I think I may start researching Vermont for next year. Are we still on? Unfortunately, we'll see if I can really start researching, I will probably have to wait bit still. The remodel, school starting and kids still have claim on all of my brain power.

Rachel,
I am in for Vermont next year, when should we go? Sometime in the summer huh. Should we send out an e-mail to everyone to put a date on their calendar...I would be happy to organize that? I loved Vermont and I would love to do the Stevens Family historical tour.....that is what we can call it. Let me know....Lisa
