Elise received horseback riding lessons for her birthday for herself and Emma. They went to a camp for two hours each morning last week. Emma's horse, Al, was huge. Her little legs barely reach past the saddle blanket. Elise rode Cody most of the time. They rode western most days and one day of bareback pads. Elise also had one day of
english riding. The last day was a trail ride. Being out there at the ranch gave me the itch for horses and goats again. I'm looking into continuing riding lessons for them but they are so outrageously expensive here. Maybe next year we will just have to spend the entire summer in Idaho. Anyway, the girls did very well. Emma learned a lot, her first real independent riding, trotting and all. I'm not sure Elise was challenged at all, but she enjoyed it.

Sometimes I really want horses again, too! But they are so expensive to keep.
