I had my final surgery at the end of September. I had to wait a year from when I finished radiation to replace the expanders with regular implants. Everything went well with no complications. Except maybe trying to get the initial IV. I could only stay 23 hours at the surgery center so Mike picked me up at 5:30 the next morning. My recovery consisted of two weeks in bed, and 4 to 6 weeks before I could lift anything. Again, my family received so much love and support in the form of dinners, rides for the kids, childcare, cards and flowers, visits, cleaning and more. You are wonderful! Thank you.
I had scheduled my surgery for the week after the Sky Mountain Mothers' Session so I could be sure to attend. :) I flew home Saturday night from Utah. Sunday evening or Monday morning I discovered that my drivers license was missing. Last I had seen it was after going through security at the airport. It must have slipped out of my pocket at the airport or on the plane. I was worried about it because with surgery coming up on Thursday, I wouldn't be able to get a new one for a long time and I needed it to check-in at the hospital. So I began praying that someone would find it and mail it back to me. And guess what arrived in the mail on Wednesday. Yes, my license. It felt like a tender mercy. Like the Lord was mindful of me, which was very comforting heading into surgery.
